Embarking on Your Career Journey

Step I: Start Planning

1. Meet a Profession Counselor at OCS in the start of your junior year to help establish and review your profession goals by examining your interests, abilities, and strengths so that you can begin determining and narrowing down relevant task choices.

2. Begin networking with alumni, faculty, staff, senior trainees and possible employers to check out choices and comprehend the kinds of readily available task alternatives.
3. Consult with people operating in your field of interest, or the kind of task you are aspiring for, to gain from their experience.
4. Ensure that you take a minimum of one internship during your undergraduate research study, and also take part in activities beyond-the-classroom such as sports, services, going to conferences, volunteer work and more. All these experiences will reinforce your experience and your resume.
